VIDEO: The FIRST Video Of The New Ferrari 458 Italia Spider
One thing Ferrari does really well is create sensual body work. Forget the hard-edged lines from brands like Lamborghini because the boys from Maranello focus on one thing -- creating a fluid-looking product.
The all-new Ferrari 458 Italia Spider isn't an exception to the rule.
Though skeptics and critics weren't too sure: Would it come with a cloth roof or a folding hard-top?
I would have predicted a soft top but Ferrari has gone and built a hard-top convertible that functions much like the 575 SuperAmerica and SuperAmerica 45 built specifically for Peter Kalikow.

WOW!! This car is even more amazing after I see it with how beautiful the lines are with the top up as well as down. The way the top goes down, (Imust of played it 3 times!) is incredible! I lays flat in the trunk instead of folding, but the thing that most intrigued me was the black pieces that come forward to cover the side flanks of the car, absolutely incredible car! Speechless!

A truly beautiful car top up or down. Now THAT'S how you implement a retractable roof. Wow!!!

I prefer a cheap looking lumpy cloth roof.

According to Autocar UK, the spider is just 50Kgs heavier than the couple (which is less than most soft tops) with very similar acceleration and top speeds. There is no reason to prefer the less safer and louder soft tops when this is better in every way, and better looking too!
