Toyota Plans To Regain Ground By Assaulting Market With New Model Blitz
Toyota Motor Corp.’s new Camry will start a blitz of U.S. model releases to regain sales lost to rivals such as Hyundai Motor Co. after three years that included recession, recalls and an earthquake.

Toyota unveiled the 2012 Camry yesterday at Paramount Studios in Hollywood on a New York City-themed backlot with 200 actors, dancers and musicians. It’s the first of 20 new and refreshed Toyota, Lexus and Scion models arriving by early 2013, said Bob Carter, group vice president of U.S. sales. The new version of the top-selling U.S. car goes on sale in October.

Why are they releasing them all at once? Wouldn't they be able to make better product if they put more focus into each product by staggering their launches?

They should just license the design to Honda for the next Accord.

Lol I'm glad the 3.5L Camry is as quick as the 5.7L Charger. Ask for source.

The Charger is in a league of its own. The Camry has no chance of de-throning the Charger. The SRT will have a supercharger with @570 hp and handeling to match. The Pen V6 will have over 300 hp with the 8speed and over 30 mpg. The first thing for toyota is to get rid of the BORING factor then build on that. I see a lot of new Chargers, not so many new Camry's.

The charger will not get better gas mileage than the Camry. It's too heavy and the drivetrain is not efficient. RWD is not as efficient as FWD and this is coming from a guy who HATES front wheel drive with a passion. It will however, be much more fun and involving to drive than the Camry.

New Model Blitz of appliances. If the Camry is any sign of things to come then toyota needs some serious help. I've never seen a lamer car lineup since KIA in the 1990's or Buick.

Just like they did with the IS-F and LF-A. Both vehicles are by far the best in their respective classes.

Rushing models to market keeps getting them in trouble with recalls and safety campaigns. I hope they're not going to hurt their quality/reputation by worrying about market share. With great quality/reputation comes market share.
