Toyota U.S. recall extravaganza (Will this ever stop?)

Just has I predicted two month ago. More recalls from Toyota/Lexus. Customers who own this brand can except even more recalls in the future and practically from Lexus and Infiniti. Here's why, as these two companies try and raise their game in the performance sector to compete with BMW they are finding it increasingly difficult to replicate that Munich Magic and have consistent reliability. BMW has been at the performance game for years. They know how to integrate great reliability with great performance. That is how the company was founded. I've said this before and I'll say it again. This applies to Lexus more so than Infiniti. If a car company has success with a particular business model why alter it. You’re just asking for trouble. Infiniti is still searching for an identity. Until they find one, Infiniti will continue to look toward BMW for their next idea. BMW is successful because they never go away from their core values, no matter what other companies are doing.

Wow, stop making stuff up. Clip falling, not on a Toyota, never.

Too funny - you guys grab at a recall totaling 367,700 vehicles, when the "Big (unprofitable, losing market share) 3" have been recalling MILLIONS of vehicles regularly.

Reality check...

Who has BILLIONS in cash in the bank (last count $19B), is growing disproportionately in foreign markets, is adding jobs to the US market annually, has consistently produced the world's most reliable vehicles more profitably than ANY other auto manufacturer in the world, designed the most revolutionary drivetrain in decades, is introducing the world's first 8-speed mass-produced passenger car automatic transmission, and...

... succeeds in pissing off those who praise less worthy auto companies by championing virtually every market and segment they place their sights on?

Get rid of the rabbit ears, ditch the 8-track tapes, archive the LPs and jump into this millenium.

This story still emphsises the fact I posted several times regarding the slipping quality of these Toyotas. I hope by now everyone will examine Toyota/Lexus very carefully before buying. The Japs are really taking us in a ride due to their unlimited spending on media to cover up their mischiefs.
Wake up Guys and Girls, do not let them fool you no longer. Go back and read what I have posted about my Lexus LX-470 1998 model which I am still having problems with to-date!
By the way, I purchased a Hummer3 two months back and its really a treat especially off-road, on sandy dunes and tough terrain. The climate here in Saudi is harsh to say the least but the Hummer3 is proving to be a robust contender. Good for you GM. Keep up the good work Guys & Girls.
