Cadillac Poised To Green Light Ciel Concept For Production
Cadillac is expecting the go-ahead to build a new flagship based on the same platform as the Ciel concept car.

General Motors is expected to give the go-ahead to Cadillac’s flagship Omega project before year-end, according to senior sources, the maker’s top management encouraged by the overwhelmingly positive reaction of the luxury division’s new Ciel concept vehicle.

I guess they are beginning to listen? Like Chevy did for the Camaro?

"Cadillac Poised To Green Light Ciel Concept For Production"

At least we already know what it will look like in a head on collision!

ps
With all the grey-hairs and their "overwhelmingly positive reaction" in the first pic, I guess I see the need for a shawl dispenser. But, what, no Viagra dispenser??? Or is that cleverly hidden? Hmmmmmm

Only an International Man of Mystery would be concerned with where the Viagra dispenser is... I guess even Austin Powers needs a boost from time to time.

You should let them know so they do it for you next time. You probably need it now in whatever you drive.

I think people are missing an important point of distinction from the article -- it doesn't say they are greenlighting the Ciel as you see it, it says they are greenlighting a "new flagship based on the Ciel platform". So if you're expecting a road going version of that concept car to be rolling down the street near you anytime soon, you're probably going to be disappointed. What you're likely to see is a (much more traditional) large range-topping sedan using the Ciel architecture.

The XTS is replacing the STS/DTS so no, its not really their flagship. This new car based on the Ciel's platform (which won't be a convertible I'm sure) will be a S Class/7 series/A8 rival supposedly.

This concept sucks. So far from production as to be a total waste of time. Looks like a Kleenex box with a Cadillac grille. I drew more interesting cars when I was six.
