Eh, sorry, Blazinboy, but Audi/VW 4-cylinders are quite good. I speak from experience. Years ago I had an Audi A4 1.8 Turbo and the engine was simply a gem. My relatives are heavy VW users and I've sampled a lot of their engines. They're all quite impressive except for the old 2.0 engine still available in the new Jetta.
