Ferrari Chairman Joins List Encouraging The Rich To Be Taxed More
One of the more surprising names to appear on the “Tax Me More” list of rich people is Luca di Montezemolo.

Montezemolo is the chairman of Ferrari and one of Italy’s most well-respected business Brahmins. He recently told the Italian paper Republica that wealthy people like him should step up and help solve government debt crises.

"Ferrari Chairman Joins List Encouraging The Rich To Be Taxed More"

Oh, no!!!! Say it ain't so!!! As former Bush once said (and I am paraphrasing of course) "They say you are the elite, but I call you MY base!" What will happen to the "base???" [Funny how that is also an Al-Qaeda term!!]

The rich needs subsidies like crackheads need a fix!!

WE must stop this call!! The wealthy MUST be preserved at ALL costs, even at the expense of EVERYONE else!!!

Without the rich we are ALL lost!!! Losing the rich will be the end of civilization as we know it!! Who will feed and clothe the poor? Who will provide jobs?? Who will provide endowment for the Arts? Who will build museums?? Who will hand out scholarships to the poor and uneducated?? Who will...I must stop! I can't bear the thought!!!

- And if we stop coddling them for a second they will leave with all those jobs. You know the jobs in which 9% of americans are out of? They are doing an outstanding job. LOL!!

Actually what it is needed is for the poor to be taxed.

That's a good idea. Tax the crap out of the impoverished. While at the same time allow even larger tax breaks for the rich. Smart!!!

The poor are already taxed enough. Payroll taxes consume enough of their already meager incomes.

I don't think anybody is suggesting massive tax hikes on the rich that would have any effects on their standard of living. However modest adjustments to the tax code (resulting in higher taxes on the rich) are required if governments are going to be able to balance their books. The other option (in the case of the United States) is to lower annual government spending by about 1.5 trillion dollars. The impact of this would really be too horrible to seriously contemplate in the comments here.

You make it sound like I am suggesting 10k income tax. They need to be taxed a certain amount. $100 minimum to $1,000 for example. The tax increases based on the amount of kids they have as a primary factor.

all these rich guys who say they should tax people more or so called rich people more are nuts and full of crap. listen if your rich and you want to pay more in taxes write a check to the irs. they will accept it but the bottom line is they are hypocrites. buffet the biggest hypocrite has his company behind on taxes since 2002. thats right they havnt paid the right taxes since 2002. also he pays himself in dividends so he gets taxed at 15% instead of income where he would get socked. Lastly all you libs that are in congress and say tax the rich (pelosi) why dont you give up some of your doe your worth of 30 million and you write laws to benefit your rich husband. what a joke.
