These numbers could reflect that there are updated and refreshed models coming out soon. So maybe buyers are holding off till they are available.

Without Chrysler assets to sell and to suck money from, nor their profits on trucks/SUVs, Mercedes will become even more of a boutique-brand like Jaguar. High-priced European labor will put the pinch on profits. Their high-tech features come from suppliers, because they don't do a lot of their own engineering (and when they do, they deliver crap like the A-class and SmartCar). In another decade, they'll be trying to find a Chinese or Indian owner.

Eldard, they already offer ghetto-fabulous cars like purple Maybachs and the entire S-series for hip-hoppers. How could the GL be any more Ghetto-ized than it already appears? It's been in more rap videos than a fat girl's ass.

1c3am5 your post is dumb. Extremely dumb. The S-class is for hip hoppers. STUPID. You may be a little upset that rap artist are buying mercedes, but it's only because the S-class is considered to be the one of the best if not the best car on the planet. It symbolizes prestige and wealth. Thats why rap artist buy them. Because they feel they have achieved a level in which they can ride around in the same care that ceo's drive. Thats the reason behind it. And so you know mercedes will always sell massive amounts of cars simply because they are mercedes.

You have the nerve to call my post dumb? I love that rappers buy Mercedes products. Don't forget coke dealers, ambulance-chaser lawyers and real estate agents who want you to see how "successful" they are.

MB Still the best luxury and status car of the world ...all other are considered pretenders. MB Is the considered as the best , that's why a lot of Presidents, and successful people prefer it over most of the cars. no need to talk about their achievements in the formula or other very famous competencies....

Massive amounts of cars. Yes they do sell massive amounts of cars CONSIDERING the price point. You mentioned that they will become like Jaguar. And for that you are highly mistaken. The e and c alone probably sell more cars than jaguars entire line up. Please allow me to know where you get the notion that mercedes will become so bleek that they will stop selling the cars they do, considering the fact that every year they sell more cars than the previous. And mercedes can sell a camry with a 3 pointed star on the hood and it will sell. Because it's a mercedes. Thats the point I was making. Like yonder7 stated mercedes is a status car. When people drive them, they know the perception that people tend to get about you. Your rich well off. Or have money. Regardless of how they got their money drugs, sports, real estate, or any other avenue it's the image that people enjoy while driving mercedes along with an exceptional product. Merecedes in the same position as jaguar. You must be stupid.
