General Motors today announced the retention of former Vice Chairman Robert A. "Bob" Lutz to provide counsel to the senior leadership team of the company.

Lutz is a true legend. I just finished reading his book "Car Guys vs Bean Counters". It should be a must-read for everybody entering a business school. Heck, it should be a must-read for every American. Say what you want about Lutz but his style gets things done. He got them done at Chrysler and he got them done at GM. And I can't recall Lutz stabbing anybody in the back. And as for talking shyt, you should know, Badgewhore2...you do your fair share of it right here on Spies. But that's a failure of a place where freedom of speech is allowed. All types get to open their traps just as you do.

What does Bob have to offer GM any more?
The only thing I can think of is he will take attention way from some others under scrutiny.
