Canadian Police Impound $2 Million Worth Of Cars In Street Racing Bust

This could be the plot for a movie, "Fast and Furious Canada," or maybe "Fast and Furious, the Young and the Rich."

Police in British Columbia say they impounded $2 million worth of high-end vehicles this week after witnesses reported the 13 cars racing on a metro Vancouver highway at speeds of 125 mph (200 kph).

The high-end race cars included a Ferrari, Lamborghinis, Maseratis, an Audi, an Aston Martin, Nissans and a Mercedes, according to a Royal Canadian Mounted Police press release.

Actually RCMP couldn't prove their speed. This was only what they guess. It could go up to 250km/h or 150km/h. No one knew. Also the drivers did admit only few cars participated in racing. The others were following at the back without going too fast. Since there was no witness or equipment to measure the speed, no one knew the truth. There were a few traffic cameras captured those vehicles on the highway. However the clip didn't show they were speeding. They were very lucky. Otherwise they should be deported immediately.

Most of the cars didn't belong to them, maybe there parents? All money from China, spoiled kids.

I am curious as to why they would impound all of the cars if they weren't all racing? for the responsible ones not racing they should be reimbursed, and the ones driving that fast in rush hour should have there cars taken. This would be very hard to do without evidence.
