This is the model Audi will place square up against the upcoming BMW i3.

The A2 has been revived and this time as an EV (electric vehicle) concept Audi aims to take to production in the near future.

The A2 Concept measures 3.80 meters (12.47 ft) long, 1.69 meters (5.54 ft) wide and 1.49 meters (4.89 ft) high. Those are the only real figures Audi provides in the press release which mostly covers the design aspects of the vehicle.

"SCRAMBLES" is hardly the descriptive word I would use. Audi has been working on small concept EVs for several years now (e-trons, A1, A2 concepts), as well as parent company VW (Up). The A1 and A2 have been tossed around as the basis for these platforms. If anything, the i3 is the newcomer to this segment. Given Audi's lead in EV and other fueld efficient vehicles such as diesels I can only expect the i3 remains in the rear view mirror.

Its the other way around..BMW has set the bar with EV's of this type in term of technology range and efficiency, this sketch even looks like an i3. BMW diesels are more efficient and produce a higher output per liter than Audi diesels. BMW also has secured a cost effective way to mass produce carbon fiber, Audi is way behind on this front. Lastly BMW's had the hybrid 7 and X6 on sale for a while now, and the 1 series Active E electric car, while Audi has just released a q5 hybrid..

The only reason for the discontinue of the 335d for the US is the E90 has been discontinued for the world. You will see the 335d in the US soon.
