What Brand Does The Best Job Of Bringing Their Concepts Cars To Market?
Can’t wait for industry reaction to Ford’s Evos concept car at the Frankfurt auto show next month. From the photos, it’s brilliant. I, for one, would buy it in a New York minute.

Yet, Ford does not intend to build the car, and that’s a shame, because it surely would send the likes of Audi, Jaguar and Hyundai designers scampering back to the drawing boards.

WardsAuto editor Byron Pope reports in his story posted today the car is merely a glimpse at Ford’s future global styling direction.

BMW. Some of their concepts are a joke. Like the old and current M5 "concept" cars - identical to the production models

For a nice little stretch in the 90's in the U.S., Chrysler was the hands down best at bringing thinly veiled concept cars like the Viper, Durango, 300, etc. to market.

It is a much more difficult to call globally. At this point, it seems all concepts cars are good for is to show the public some overall styling cues the automaker is considering.

Land Rover and Jaguar
Except for the huge wheels...the cars are production ready

bmw. nearly every new model shows up as a 'concept' at the auto show 1 to 2 years prior to production. recently that includes the 5-series, M5, 6-series gran coupe, i3 and i8. the true concepts like gina are way out there and everyone knows those are just technology showcases.

BMW is pretty good, especially coming up with something like the I8 and bringing it to market as is.
