Why are the Audi RS4 & TT getting such great reviews? What can we expect in the future

Why are the Audi RS4 and new TT getting awesome reviews by so many different magazines.

Most importantly what can we expect for future Audis that also use the 60:40 Quattro weight distribution, continue to set the benchmark in terms of interior design and offer great performance to match?

The RS4 we know is a rocket and the new (2008) TT shaved 15 seconds off the previous (current) TT's time at the Nurburgring.

Audi is listening to what their buyers want. We want the best performance witht their already BMW beating luxury and interiors. Soon audi will soon blow ever competitor (specially BMW) out of the water.

Well this sure looks to be the start of something. The new 60:40 weight distribution will find its way into the B8 Audi A4 (Audi's best selling car).

The R8 will be sure to feature some serious performance from a 500+ horsepower engine.

Audi's DSG is already better than SMG and for that matter every other gearbox out there.

We know Audi interiors are the best in the industry.

BMW 4 EVER. Thanks for using my former username and also Audi's interiors are better than BMW's in terms of ergonomics, layout, materials quality, feel and appearance

BMW4Ever "The only reason is because of BMW." You still smoking that wacky weed? MAYBE they get the favorable reviews becuase they DESERVE it?

Audi is trying very hard to upset the BMW apple cart, so far they have tipped it several times but it just isn't quite ready to tip over just yet. But then again the assault has just started.

BMW4EVER can't possibly be old enough to even drive a car.

The only thing that BMWs are significantly better at than Audi is Marketing.

Every single upcoming Audi in this long line of cars-still-to-come will feature Quattro with a 60:40 rear split. This ensures the greatly improved handling and driver feedback. The DSG will be there so the shifts will be absolutely brilliant. Audi NEVER dissapoints with their impeccable design and the cars will be MUCH FASTER. As evidenced with the RS4 and TT.

I'm looking forward to all the great news coming in the next few months and many years ahead.

That R8 will be sinfully great!

Great reviews started already with the A6 and the A8...wonder why they became so unnoticable???

They became old because they drive like Audis of old. The models I mentioned which have just come out or will be out within the next 2 years don't drive anything like the old Audis. They have a lot more driver feedback and much better handling along with much better acceleration.

Combine everything that is great about the A6 & A8 in terms of their interior with the vasstly improved driving dynamics and you have the Audis of the future.

I thought it was 40:60 split for the AWD 40% front and 60% rear to make it more rear biased as opposed to earlier models that were 50:50

GermanNut,

Don't confuse weight distribution with wheel-power-distribution. 60/40 weight distribution is horrible for any car, but 60/40 power distribution seems to be quite good, at least for Audi's Quattro.

BMW4forwhatever BMW is catching up Audi in the AWD games , let me see ur DSC screams for mercy in snow

there's something that BMW cannot do , yet , period

RS4 is built by quattro , TT is a TT , BMW might has lengendary engines but not going to to win any beauty contest (at least the current line up)

Audi is increasing their RS models which is good but need aggressive marketing.

You see AUDI's doing well at introducing new models whilst the bimmers ones are getting older.. alright auids gonna have better reviews and cars until bmw introduce there new models whioch aint that far away.. new 7, facelifted 5, new X5 will destroy Q7 new 3 series coupe = bye bye AUDI... AUDI's are quality cars but there only class leading until the new BMW models are released... Want an example... E90

well audi dun really have a 3 coupe equiv. , Audi never has been class leading , except for the Avant models which MB is too oldworld and BMW wagons just no one buys. Face it , BMW is not really doing well in all area like some ppl r dreaming for. I have nothing against any of the big german 3s , they all have their own weak area. It is strange to see MB copies 7's idrive & gear select; BMW goes for turbo & AWD; Audi is making first SUV .
