2014 Lexus GS F Is Still Possible
Upon the unveiling of the 2013 Lexus GS, it becomes all the more believable that Lexus will soon release a performance version of the sedan that will rival the BMW M5 and Mercedes-Benz C63. It has been speculated that this model will be named the GS F, drawn from the fact that the high-performance

The GS-F should be built ONLY if it has the following.

1. A minimum power of 550 hps and minimum 500 lbs torque.
2. Better or matching balance to its competitors.
3. Lighter weight than its competitors.
4. Cost less than its competitors.
5. It should only have a twin turbo V8 and nothing more.
6. The V8 engine should match or smaller in displacement size compared to its competitors.
7. Very big and fat tires!!!!

If it doesn't have all of these, it will be another failure just like the ISF and LFA.

Are you saying that unless it soundly beats its competitors in all areas it will be an overall failure? Talk about setting the bar high lol.

Lexus can easily make it, but you wont be able to afford it's 100k+ price tag.

About 45% of the LFA price tag is the engine.

Most of the cost in an LFA is the carbon fiber not the engine......

I would forget the V10 and the V8. If a GS-F version of this car makes it to market, it will have either one of two powertrains:

Performance Oriented
Twin-Turbo V6 mated to an AWD system with an upgraded 7speed DClutch

Sport Hybrid Oriented
Twin Turbo four cylinder with electric hybrid drive with some type of on demand (push to pass like) performance boost - Like the Honda Accord Hybrid.

or Mitsubishi Eclipse E-Boost concept

They need a new ES, IS, LS and LX long before a GS-F. AWD ES350 perhaps. They need to concentrate on what they do best and stop screwin around with these never to be seen or affordable dream cars.
