If you haven't been keeping track, new car prices continue to grow and they're not stopping. You would think with a rough economic climate and rampant unemployment that price inflation would slow, but it's not.

With that said, we're here to ask you, our tastemakers, which FIVE products under $20,000 USD do you believe are best?

• It has to be new
• It has to have an MSRP no higher than $20,000
• It has to be a 2011/2012 vehicle
• has to be new, msrp no higher than $20k and 11 or 12 model year

The best car under $20k is a motorcycle. I recommend the BMW K1300S. 170hp, 500lbs dry (= 1/4 in 10.5 secs) and can ride across the continent 2-up with luggage.

One car had a steering problem and you are making a big deal of this.American manufacturers recall because they care and do it voluntarily.Toyota has to have major pressure from NTSB etc before they want to fix anything.Engine Sludge,tail gates breaking,tire rods failing etc I guess does not matter.Thats why they are the recall KING.
