Toyota Hopes October Will End Five Month Sales Slide
Toyota Motor Corp Asia's largest automaker, expects to start reversing a U.S. sales slide that began in May after Japan’s earthquake as vehicle production rebounds and deliveries of the new Camry sedan expand.

Wholesale orders for Toyota brand cars and trucks are back to normal this month, and vehicle inventory is rising, Bob Carter, group vice president for U.S. sales, said in an interview. Toyota’s last U.S. sales gain was in April. The company’s U.S. market share through August fell to 12.7 percent from 15.2 percent a year earlier.

Sounds like Toyota will be unveiling heavy incentives to lure buyers back into the showrooms.

What would make me buy a new Toyota is if a third party tested and honestly reported the quality of there metal, presently it is very questionable, especially when new Tundras spare tires fall off due to rust because Toyota decided that they could save $$ on a cheaper less resistant metal blend, so far no mention of any improvements, instead all of those silly commercials with people smiling in ignorance, or it could be the actors future paycheck?

Truckman why dont you buy a real truck from GMC or Chevy that comes with the best warranty. How come most of the others say they are the most reliable but do not want to give a better warranty.Caveat emptor.

The chev is way more of a truck than the Tundra, I would rather go with the Ford or Dodge? the chev is the least off road worthy other than the impetant Tundra, if the truck doesn't come with a low range its just an all wheel drive car like the Ridgeline and the TUndra, and Fijian, if you like all wheel drive trucks and it works for you that is great, I take no offence to that at all, the Tundra does not cut it for 4x4 nuts like myself.
