What Is Lexus Hiding? Mystery LS Rumored To Be 641 HP LS-F TMG Edition
That seemingly souped up Lexus LS that has been spotted lapping the Nurburgring these past few weeks now has a name, as well as some juicy details, thanks to a spied spec sheet. The Lexus LS-F has now been christened the TMG Edition, giving props to the company’s motorsports division, Toyota Motorsport GmbH. It’s hyped up engine and scorching numbers will come to fruition when the vehicle debuts at the 2011 Tokyo Auto Show in December.

According to the spied spec sheet, the Lexus LS-F TMG Edition will be powered by 5.0 L engine - quite possibly a higher displacement version of the LF-A’s V10 or a turbocharged version of the IS-F’s 5.0L V8. Whatever the engine, the LS-F will be pumping out 478 kW (650 PS, 641 HP) and 710 Nm of torque (523 lb-ft). Performance numbers are also listed as a 0-62 mph sprint of 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph).

Agreed… This car is a test mule but what’s important here is the engine power and new aspired stance! These are insane numbers for Lexus. They have always been naturally aspired motors,,, period; if this is the current LS or IS-F V-8 'hopped up' then we are probably seeing the max output for that current engine design. Even if they tone down the HP compared to this it is still a big deal.

That's a good speed, too bad the merc equivalent is limited to 155 it would be interesting to see a direct comparison. Mind you, the Bentley Continental Flying Spur is pretty close to the Merc and tops out at 202mph with 31 fewer ponies then this LS.

New M5 with 552BHP should be very scared if that engine goes in the upcoming GS-F. 641BHP is more than even the Biturbo V12s in the Maybach and 65 AMGs. Come on Toyota, it would be great if both GS-F and LS-F are planned.

an original idea once again. it's called "Toyota Motorsport GmbH." so TMG is supposed to remind us of AMG and they incorporated it in germany so it's GmgH instead of Inc. TMI would have been more appropriate. lol

Why are haters so interested in the mule's bodykit and not the main news which is 641BHP engine and most likely a new chassis which would be needed to handle this much power. The performance modifications seen on the car like huge brakes, carbon fibre parts and the air inlets all hint at very powerful engine. It is understandable that the pre-facelifted LS body used here which is also highly modified is an early prototype and not the final design. Early prototypes of new 2013 GS were also wearing old GS body.

Don't get your hopes up Toyota Loyalists, this is merely test bed for engine tuning and chassis dynamics. Even if they built it, which they won't, there is NO market for this car outside of Australia(V8 Touring Car Championships)
