Panamera Design Director Named As Engineering Chief - Is Bentley On The Verge Of Becoming A Performance Brand?

The Porsche-ization of luxury car maker Bentley moved another step forward today as Rolf Frech was named as its engineering chief.

Frech, who has been Porsche’s director of complete vehicle engineering group for the past decade, replaces Ulrich Eichhorn, who is set to become head of the VDA, the German auto industry association.

I hope not.... VW already has porsche for that... Bentley is like VW's Rolls Royce.... you should get fired for even mentioning performance or handling in a company like that

With Bentley's heft, it's hard for *me* to think of them as a performance car, even though their history says so.
