VIDEO: A Nissan GT-R Takes On A Ferrari 458 Italia -- Notice Anything INTERESTING In This Clip?
There have been MANY arguments over the Nissan GT-R vs. car "X" but when there's actual video proof there's not much to really scuffle about. Well, at least one would think.

Then the internet toughguys come out of the woodwork and immediately know everything there is to know about both vehicles that are dueling.

Now in this particular instance we've got a Nissan GT-R that's been through some modifying going head-to-head with a Ferrari 458 Italia.

With that said, it appears that there are a couple of things that are interesting about this video. Can you spot/find them?

**Head's up, there is a bit of cursing in this clip

The f458 kept up to the modified nissan while staying in his lane?

I dont think the gtr guy was drunk. Its not my area of expertise but it looks like he was trying to drive in track lines around the corners ONLY.

The GTR acceleration was impressive, the driver of the GTR could not drive at all, the Ferrari driver would have blown him away in the corners.

Other than the fact that the GTR driver could have killed himself and someone else crossing the double yellow lines around blind corners, at least he was smart enough not to have a license plate. I thought it was pretty interesting that the Ferrari driver actually allowed his face to be shown. Pretty dumb to leave a nice face shot of yourself while you are committing the following obvious infractions: reckless driving, speeding, racing on a public road, speeding through a school zone etc.

I must concur, if I were the Ferrari driver I would not have continued tailgating an obvious horrible driver, it was clear that the GTR driver couldn't have kept up to a Civic, really, he couldn't have, the Ferrari driver should have recognized this and backed off, he could have been killed too.

Actually now that I look at this again, it gets even more interesting. There is a road sign at :13 that places the Ferrari in CA and with LA about 129 miles away - so the cops can figure out the jurisdiction (and I'm sure they can figure out where the school zone was). The color of the Ferrari is shown and it is either black or dark grey. At the very end of the video the words "AllanFerrari" shows up. Did he really show his face, name himself and place himself in the jurisdiction where he was racing?

It appears that the GTR was walking away from the Ferrari on the straights but could have been cutting corners because it does not handle and corner as well as the Ferrari.

The GTR driver was going slow in the corners because he couldn't drive, I bet if a Civic SI was in front of the GTR driver he couldn't keep up.

Wrong the Nissan GT-R can corner curve just as good or better than the Ferrari it's driver who can't drive Not the Car in this case.

Lexus, this is my point, its the driver that sucks in the GTR,not the car, with a good driver he would have probably beat the Ferrari driver? Anyone seen the Nuremberg stig times? the Ferrari driver could have blown him away in the turns.

2013 Nissan GT-R to come with 570 hp and will be much lighter. I can't wait to see the spec and another comparison between this 2013 Nissan GT-R and Porsche Turbo S. Here is the link http://blogs.insideline.com/straightline/2011/09/spy-photos-2013-nissan-gt-r-gets-more-carbon-fiber-more-power.html

Great Job Nissan and now please make an Infiniti Variant of the Nissan GT-R.

He wasn't drunk, he was "TRYING" to grab the best racing line possible. Was this perfectly achieved? Obviously not.

Let's assume that these 2 drivers did not know the road well, it is always easier to follow someone who is carving canyons vs being the lead. You are always going to be more hesitant being the lead because you are unsure of the corners and entry speed. Following someone is easier since you are mimicking their speed and line. Reverse the rolls in the hills portion of the video and the results would have been the same.

Secondly, why compare a jazzed up gtr with a stock ferrari? We all know the GTR is an amazing car, especially souped up. There was a video of a p800 spanking a veyron.

With that said, the 458 will be heralded as one of the best ferraris ever made. That says a lot.

What are we all missing here? I mean, from what I hear/see, the owner of the Ferrari is not pushing the car to the limit. It's pretty obvious that the GTR is modified to a level akin to the P800. The Ferrari can rev much higher than he is letting it. Oh and did anyone notice that the rear wheels on the GTR are deep dish? The ATTESA system has been known to be very picky, so the car may not have been running at it's best. Listen to the GTR though, what engine is in that thing? Nissan is known for deep bubbly exhaust out of those cars, and yet it sounds like a damn F1 car.
