Rumors DON'T Get Any HOTTER This! Will The iPhone 5 And 4s Obsolete SYNC And ALL Others?
If you take ALL of the Apple rumors over the last 5 years and balled them up, I don't think the totality would equal the hype about what's coming this Tuesday at 10AM PT, at the companies iPhone event.

SO many rumors and girations are flying faster across the intertubes than the Concorde in it's finest moment.

Will the iPhone 5 be introduced along with an iPhone 4s and cheaper pricing/plans?

Will the iPhone 5 have the rumored teardrop shape, larger screen, 4g, 8 megapixel camera, blah, blah, blah?

Will there be NO iPhone 5, only a 4S and cheaper 4's?

But the BIGGEST rumor which has us at AutoSpies.com so jacked up about is the speculation that they will introduce the most amazing voice technology interface in history born out of their acquisition of Siri.

Check out what Forbes had to say about it:

"The Siri voice control system allows users to instruct the iPhone to ‘send a text message to Jason Schwarz asking him meet me for lunch’. Think about this capability in terms of safety. We all know that too many drivers send and receive text messages, now they will be able to safely operate an iPhone in the car. The voice assistant adds a layer of intelligence as well. If I ask my iPhone to ‘call Dad’ it might ask me whether it should dial his home phone or his mobile. It is also able to perform Web based search functions such as ‘book a table for two at 9:00 tonight’ or ‘send a taxi to my house’. Siri worked with Citysearch, Opentable and Taxi Magic before the Apple acquisition"

If this is true then it's GAME OVER for Microsoft SYNC and ALL other in car voice interfaces and the Spies predict they will HAVE to license the Apple technology going forward.

We've always said that interactive voice to text and vice versa in the car is the KILLER app.

You see it all the time, people texting while driving and it's VERY dangerous.

And we're ALL guilty for doing it.

With this new technology, is press a button and say for example, 'TEXT 00R AND 009…then it records the message... 'Agent 00R and 009 are WAY less cool than 001' and the system converts you voice to text and send to the recipient. When a new text comes in, it reads it and then offers options.

But it's not like old one dimensional systems like dragon dictate.

This can do contextual stuff like 'find map to 90068' and 'send directions to 001JR'.

So not only should the auto manufacturers be worried but GOOGLE should be worried.

Because if its as good as we're told, the masses using smartphones will be using APPLE voice search vs. Google or whomever!

Here is a video simulation of how it could work from MacRumors:

The Spies also continue to predict that ALL in car telematics will become 'dumb terminal screens' that will display what's on your smartphone which will ELIMINATE the middle man (the car companies).

Also, stats show 75% of ALL smartphone buyers are waiting to dump their existing phones to get the new iPhone 5 when it comes.

That is MASSIVE!

Whatever happens, the lead up to the Tuesday event will only get hotter as it inches closer to us.

Make YOUR predictions below about what will be introduce and what implications it will have?

And will YOU be buying or upgrading to the iPhone 5

Sorry. #fail No one but current iPhone users are waiting on the iPhone 5. iLove the iPhone, but iAlso love my android device (htc), and my blackberry for business. That won't change and if you're a part of the business world, you will agree with me. iUse the iPhone for entertainment but NEVER as my primary device. iDon't care to elaborate as this is just my personal preference. iWouldn't expect this #apple promoting site to understand. Thanks! #thatisall

At work half the IT department is on iPhones and we are in pilot for iPad rollouts to most of the company for next year. Android is fine too but when you amortize the cost of the phone plus a 2-year contract it isn't a significant savings...may as well get the best hardware on the most stable and compatible OS. I'm not an Apple fanboy, I run Linux and Win7 primarily and always build my own PC's.

Iphone 5 just stole the instant notification center from android, why wait for an iohone 5 for the "assistant" when the Samsung galaxy s2 already has the same features today, with interchangeable memory and battery the user can him/herself instead of an sending it in as the case of any iphone. No thank you i will stick with android iphone is over ratted and over priced.

" iPhone, in no time Apple will have everyone using their phones! love my iPhone4 :)"

- Apple's market share is shrinking. They only have one phone. And it's a high priced phone to boot. Everyone can't afford an iPhone. And the iPhone is only really popular in the U.S.

SYNC isn't obsolete, it'll last over ten years. An iphone needs to be replaced every 2-3.

"Amerikans are so stupid that they buy cars on the merit of connectivity instead of reliability or resale value. Sad but true"

Eldard, its called freedom of choice, one of the many things all you haters around the globe wish you could have. No wonder the rest of the world wants to make it to the USA! How many people migrate into your country searching for a better life compared to the US?

This has gotten to be the most rediculous bs ive seen on this site. A system designed to use voice to control aspects of a car will somehow be obsolete due to the introduction of a phone that uses voice control to control functions of the phone. Why am the only person here that sees that doesnt make sense, unless the Iphone is also running functions of the car than the two systems couldnt be more different they dont even have the same purpose..........who writes this stuff

lol @ iphone that needs to be held a certain way to have signal, and @ android with all these dual core phones when the better wont last you half a day, not to mention security issues. I just pre-ordered a Nokia N9. But sigh, I bet most of you Americans haven't even heard of it.

"We all know that too many drivers send and receive text messages, now they will be able to safely operate an iPhone in the car." How Stupid. When you are in a car you are there to drive. Drive Dammit! this is only going to give the idiots that text and drive and talk while driving more stuff to play with and endanger more lives. There should be an interface that doesn't allow the system to work if the person is driving. Have a sensor that senses the direction of the commands and if it comes from the drivers seat it should play an automated message that says try stopping first instead of screwing around on the phone/system while you drive dumb a$$.
