If You Could Work For ANY Auto Company, WHICH ONE Would YOU Choose And WHY?
Working in the automotive business, I have to say that in my interactions with the automakers, they probably have some of the coolest jobs in the world. And you have to think about why:

1) They get to create a tangible product

2) There is always a challenge

3) Competition is rampant

4) Most people are doing work for a product they love

Now very rarely do folks get a choice to work for the exact company you work for, but barring that high barrier, we're a little curious: if you had the shot to work in the auto industry, WHICH company would you want to work for and WHY?

What would be some key decisions that you would make once you landed your role? Are there specific, talented individuals you would want on your team? Any ideas that could make a drastic impact with your job?

Let us know in the comments below...

I would say Porsche but I bet it wouldn't be much actual fun. Better to be at a small company like Ariel (Atom) or Tesla or Fisker.

I'd work at many companies just for the employee discounts ... Bentley, Ferrari, Rolls, Aston Martin for example.

GM.

They're building great products and set to build more. They have the resources to allow designers and engineers to go wild. Now that the powers that be are willing to allow this wildness to hit the streets, I'd love to be a part of that.

NRE, Nelson Racing Engines would be very high on my list.

Lotus is also really high, they are a very global company and are working on very interesting projects.

BMW or Mercedes they use high quality machines and robots.

I agree with you about BMW (for a completely different reason) but honestly, high quality robots? How could that possibly have any effect on the desirability of a job there? Is your argument that more robots means you're less likely to land a job attaching door handles as opposed to calling the shots at AMG? Since we're just dreaming here, you need not worry about that.

The bible doesn't say they 'cannot mix" and using the bible for a sinful and hateful purpose is wrong. God also said he created all men equal so which is it? Racist people like yourself like to twist anything in the bible that can be manipulated into re-enforcing your narrow minded and ignorant ways. I pity you and actually feel sorry for you for your beliefs. Living such a narrow and closed minded life must make you a lonely person. Why do you not like blacks? Did they pick on you in high school for being a prick? You must have had a negative encounter with a black person and decided they are all bad and then started a life long journey towards hatred for everything that isn't like you. Sad if you ask me. I am not black yet black people have always been open and accepting of me and been more straight forward with me. Give others a chance, you'd be surprised what you are missing out on.

You're right, mens seeds cannot mix, it takes a man and a womans seed to mix. You are so full of it. You are in for a rude awakening on the day you have to face God. I can only pray for your soul and hope that Gods love truly reaches your heart and teaches you the true meaning of loving and respecting thy neighbor.

"Then the LORD said to him, “Know for certain that for four hundred years your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own and that they will be enslaved and mistreated there. " That sounds awfully familiar to what happened to blacks when they were sold, brought here, enslaved and treated inhumanely. Sounds to me as if the people he was talking to could very well be Black. After all, What continent is most all cities of the bible located? Africa, where there was no white man, only Blacks, Arabic people, Egyptians, Isrealites ETC. So with that being said, you may be the substandard species of human referred to in the bible. You might want to do some research rather than speculating on the bible, which has been re-interpreted and translated many times. Many verses can be interpreted or meant in very different ways. If God is perfect, why would he creat a lesser being. That is saying he made a mistake, and judgine other races as inferior is questioning Gods work so you might want to reconsider some of your hatred and reasoning. After all, It is the Isrealites that are gods chosen people according top the bible, Not Caucasian, Mexican Indian ETC. You are truly an idiot and are proof that We caucasions are not the supreme race. Your ignorance and blind hatred are proof. You give decent Whites a bad name. You are simply pathetic. But at the end of the day it is not I who will pass judgment, God will and boy are you going to be in for a shock. Like I said, as a christian I pray for your soul.

Another thing, it is easy to take one scripture from a book and make it mean almost anything. What is the whole story of that book.

"Because thou hast seen iron mixed with miry clay, they are mixing themselves with the seed of men: and they are not adhering one with another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. "
They are mixing themselves with the seeds of men could mean not to mate with animals. Or that spirits trying to lay their seeds into mortals will not work. Or that people shouldn't molest children, which are the seeds of man. You have to read the whole book to really be able to even come up with a semi intelligent take on it.

I get the whole not united thing, this happens now, and it happens not only between different races but amongst people of hte same race as well, and in some cases more so. Concrete is re-enforced with steel making it stronger, this clay could be people and being mixed could be the steel actually re-enforcing the clay to make it stronger and better then pure clay, and it makes sense with people. Some races have advantages to others. Why do you think we have dogs like pit bulls. interracial breeding can take the best of both and combine it. I see noting wrong with interracial relationships despite how hard society makes it on people. I also do not think of any one race as inferior to another. As thrown off as I think your thoughts on this are at least you are able to debate like a grown person instead of acting like a child, so despite my opinion I do respect how you conduct yourself.

Aston Martin or Lamborghini. Off topic a bit,

The 2013 Nissan GT-R will have 570 hp and will be much lighter. I can't wait to see the spec and another comparison between this 2013 Nissan GT-R and Porsche Turbo S. Here is the link

Great Job Nissan and now please make an Infiniti Variant of the Nissan GT-R.

I would work with any company willing to make my radical and capable 4x4, and let me produce it, I am partially responsible for the Raptor, I e-mailed everyone at Ford a while back... they even paraphrase my e-mail,and built how I said it should be done, but it was all in progress, if you don't believe me have you seen the guy that is taking credit for it? He hasn't been off road a day in his life before the Raptor was built, I don't mean to diss him, the best off road builders are the race truck builders.

The raptor is a beast. I never considered a Ford or any other domestic truck until this came out. It is now at the top of my list. Great job of bringing something like this and still be a practical truck to drive on the street.

Having worked with most car companies its more about which job you than which company you work for. While all the cultures are quite different most of them and the people who work for them treat cars as widgets...a means to an end, more sales and profits and higher wages. Nothing wrong with that but there is far less passion about their cars inside a company than in the hearts and minds of enthusiastic buyers. Its like people who would love to own a restaurant because all they see is the front of the house not what really goes on in the kitchen.

Toyota. I'd love to build and test drive those hot new and exciting Camrys. And every once in a while I'd take that Super Plush, stately Avalon for a spin. When I want to enjoy a light-weight, small, super agile, great handling sports-car, there's always the Matrix.

They're all a huge step up from my big wheel. When I grow up I want to drive the most exciting vehicles on the planet. And that sir would be Toyota. When I'm in my pajamas at night time(You know the pajamas that have the slippers already attached the Pajama pants?), all I dream about are Toyotas. The Matrix especially, now that’s a sporty car. I can’t wait to grow up. If I go to college I might be able to save up enough money to get that Matrix. Can you imagine all the attention that I’ll get in that car?

Yes, I need a car to get attention. Thank God that there are Toyotas!!! The attention, looks of envy, and stares you get from driving a Toyota is beyond reproach. They are truly excitement on wheels. I've seen people run into telephone poles and into oncoming traffic because they couldn't take their eyes off that Camry.

Do you have any examples of Chrysler badges being glued to the front of FIATS? Didn’t think so.

And besides Scion/Toyota... sharing badges would do nothing to enhance either brand. They are both Toyotas, which means that they are both nothing special at all. Lifeless boring appliances designed for the car-dumb American masses.

Chrysler is nowhere near the most exciting company. Get real. I like BMW but I would not say they are the best car company. I am a realist, not a delusional person. There is nothing exciting about Chrysler. Their cars are still overweight and heavy. Sure the Charger/300 and Challenger are more exciting that Toyota and Honda but nowhere near as fuel efficient.
