SHOCKER! Apple BLOWS Everyone Away With New Voice Assistant on New iPhone 4s But DOES NOT Announce iPhone 5! Disappointed?
Well, the hype is over and the today's Apple announcements are in the books.

The Cupertino tech giant showcased a new iPhone 4s with an unbelievable voice assistant system called Siri that ENTIRELY changes the game in the mobile OS field and a best of breed camera.

And in the case of automotive, checkmates EVERY voice strategy currently available and in development from all the manufacturers.

But the glaring omission from today's events was the absence of the reported and rumored iPhone 5.

And based on the unequaled hype that everyone bought into including us, as cool as all the new stuff is, it left us wanting for more.

Are you impressed with today's announcements or are you very disappointed that the iPhone 5 didn't show its face?

Will you be buying the 4s or WAIT for the 5?

And did the entire Google campus and competing smartphone companies breathe a sigh of relief today?

Spies, discuss

In general, I find Apple over-hyped by their cultist fans. Their proclaimed stability isn’t quite as stellar as has been reported and with every update my iPhone has become slower and more cumbersome to handle.

However; I couldn’t live without the thing. And for all of my complaining, I have to admit that the only time I have had to replace my iPhone is when it was stolen. This differs from my Blackberry which I had to replace three separate times due to a catastrophic software failure (same one each time).

So, yes, I will be getting the 4S. I was hoping for a new model with a different look, and even waited since I dropped and broke the screen on my current phone, but screw it; I won’t wait anymore.

I'm glad there is no 5 yet because I'm not eligible to upgrade until next year. iOS 5 is all I want for now !

Stock prices always drop on the heels of a new product announcement no matter how great.

Yawn.

Although I wish I had the Siri in my 2007 BMW instead of the laughably bad factory voice reconition. I say a command like 'Auxilliary' and something like the Ventilation settings are likely to appear.

No phone to date has had voice recognition as advanced as Siri, go look at the demonstration.

Of course I am disappointed! I purchased 200 shares of AAPL expecting a rally due to a new I-PHONE 5 and all we got was an upgrades I-Phone 4S and a trip to $355. Luckily the market rallied and we ended only 2 points down. Hopefully we rally into earnings and hit $425 again.

It's iPhone. Not I-Phone. iPhone. iPod. iPad. iPod touch. Get it?

So apples big announcement is that it has just now added features that Android had for years?! Not only cant you swap out your own memory or battery in a n iPhone like you can in your android device but you have the privilege of paying more for the iPhone as well. Thanks but no thanks Ive already bought my Samsung Galaxy S2.

Tony Starks "Jarvis" assistant was the first thing that popped in my head when they demonstrated Siri.

I-Phone or iphone still a huge disappointment! Looking at pre-market it appears like AAPL (shareholders not Apple fanatics) is heading down again. This market is killing me!

Disappointed. Was expecting revised styling and bigger screen, though iphone 4 is one of the best looking phone but a refresh or facelift would have been great. Maybe will get HTC now. New Samsung Galaxy models are also getting very popular.

I'm dissapointed that 001 has to talk about iphones and ipads when this is an automotive site. It should be limited to cars and driving not about electronic nanies. While we can honor Steve Jobs for what he has done it is more appropriate to honor him on another site that deals directly with this technology. We should be talking about cars, their styling, their performance, and how they feel.We should be talking about the Auto Industry. Lets try to stay on topic please!
