Actually Bill, you're full of shit. The UAW's "40% share" doesn't have any voting rights, or say in the management of the company.

This immediate lovefest you have for Sergio and the Fiat gang reminds me of all the immediate-conversion people who couldn't wait for Daimler influence at Chrysler. So far this partnership is doing much better than the Daimler disaster, but I'm not exactly chomping at the bit (and I doubt the market is either) for a bunch of tiny Fiat SUVs that are not very well regarded in their home country.

Signing what contract? The newest labor agreement? They either accept what Sergio offers, or go to government arbitration (which they'll lose). With the loans paid off, Fiat can do whatever it like to Chrysler assets. Your idea of "leverage" would only apply if the company had issued stock, thereby having leverage to affect the stock price. When and if they ever issue stock remains to be seen, and definately should have been a milestone before allowing Fiat majority ownership at zero cost. Bad policy from government.

Well the rest of the world got the first thing. the grand cherokee diesel. Us aussies love our diesels because the grand cherokee gets 39mpg highway. Well USA is beind the times they drive on the wrong side of the road anyway and still use the imperial system of measurement.

this TDV6 grand cherokee is 237bhp 4000(177KW) 405lbft(550NM) 1800RPM
Sooner USA gets used to diesels the better

Bill, I thought you wanted to work in "mom's basement"?

The rest of the stuff about Rush, teabagging, etc. is just to wierd for me to comment on... What gave you the idea I was a neo-con just because I think the conditions of Chrysler's loan were ill-advised?
