Vw Golf R priced from $33,900

Volkswagen is introducing Golf R hot hatch to the American audience with the hope that these go-fast compacts will become more popular in the U.S. Set to make its debut in the early part of 2012, the Golf R will be available in both three- and five-door versions. They are priced from $33,900 (excluding the destination charge).

I love this car but I think $33K+ is a little too much for it. Maybe an entry point of around $27K would be better but VW has a good cadre of loyal customers willing to pay top price it. They will sell out quickly.
