Forget Who The 'In The Tank' NACOTY Judges Will Pick - We WANT The REAL Winner Picked By YOU!

So if you haven't been keeping track of the past two years, the North American Car of the Year has been given out to the:

2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid

2011 Chevrolet Volt

With that said, we know there were more deserving products than either of those picks. At least with the Volt you can argue that its the most technologically sophisticated automobile ever produced. The Fusion, not so much.

Moving into the 2012 battle we can see that the latest pickings seem to range from style icons, like the Audi A7 to the Scion iQ.

We're going to just chalk up "the judges" result to mean essentially nothing and put the decision in YOUR hands, the consumer. You guys are the most important folks anyhow AND since we know that Auto Spies has users with the most discerning taste, we're confident you'll make a sound choice.

Fiat 500. It's been a long time since a car has offered genuine cult-car style for about the lowest price on the market. And it overcame Fiat's negative stigma with good sales and initial reliability. Last of all, from what I see on the road, it's a car that transcends demography, with buyers from different generations and ethnicities and gender.

I'd have to say my "spidey sense" is telling me the Chevy Sonic will reign supreme this year in the NACOTY awards.
