Audi RS1 spied

The Audi RS1 is coming. These are the first pictures of the fastest and most powerful A1 yet, which our spies have caught testing at the Nurburgring in Germany.


Details are scarce, but the RS1 is expected to have a 2.0-litre turbocharged TFSI engine with around 280bhp, quattro four-wheel drive and a six-speed manual gearbox.


It will sit above the S1 quattro, which is expected to have a 225bhp 1.6-litre TFSI engine

If Audi had beaten Fiat and its 500 to North America with the A1, it would be making all the money that Fiat currently is. And now this... I am genuinely saddened that the RS1 will never see our shores. It seems to be a killer pocket rocket.
