Good thing BMW makes some wonderful motorcycle engines. This will make the I3 appeal to a much wider audience.

Their motorcycle engines aren't much more fuel efficient than 4cyl. cars. When the public realizes that the fuel economy is no better than a Smart and that the engine has to be serviced at specialized locations, I guarantee you the appeal will fade very quickly. Even if BMW finds a way to integrate the servicing with the car dealership, I wouldn't risk letting some knowitall mechanic screw the engine up.

I would be interested if this were as big as a Honda CRV or at least the size of a Civic, BMW makes good use of space here regardless how small it may be, I would be interested if it wasn't priced out of this world and safe,efficient and has the ability to carry 5 with space for luggage.
