You Have To Wonder With A Project 1-Series Like This, Why NOT Just Get A 1M?
There's something about a project car that gets my blood boiling. Although I am not a huge fan of modifications -- mostly because they're done wrong -- my God, when they're done right it's magic.

Take, for example, a user on 1addicts that has done some unbelievable work to his 1-Series five-door hatchback. More or less he has turned it into his very own 1M except it has over 400 horsepower.

My favorite part are the BMW Performance seats and BMW Performance brake kit.

But, BUT, there is one problem: why not just get a real 1M and start your modding from there?

Is it better to have the four doors? Would YOU not want to give up your original vehicle?

You have to figure with the extent of the modifications this individual invested into this car -- alongside the original price of the 1-Series -- this owner has A LOT more into this car than a stock 1M.

Maybe the owner needed more useable space, like for a family or his job.

Usually these tuners are due to a number of factors......1) buyer cannot afford entry price of 1 series M but then spends every dime of disposeable income on tuning his, 2) certain buyers want to make over a car as their own not what a factory says it should be, 3) insurance is cheaper, 4)less tax paid at initial time of purchase

Or this is simply what he does, tune cars, so for him its nothing but time and some inspiration. In short another artist at work.
