SPIED: Porsche's Next-Gen 911 Cabriolet Seen NAKED, Notice Anything Different?
If there is one thing that's incredibly impressive about this Porsche 911, it's how the marque has managed to improve the styling with such subtle changes.

For someone who appreciates fine detail, it's pretty sensational. For others looking for something that differentiates from the crowd, you're barking up the wrong tree.

In a recent spy photograph, the all-new 911 convertible was caught from its rear three quarters and it's clear that this convertible top is WAY more refined than the outgoing 997. For example, take a look at how taut the top looks. No longer are the individual pieces visible. I am guessing it is a bit thicker and more insulated than in previous models.

The only reason I can ascertain this is because when Mercedes-Benz updated the CLK/E-Class convertible top, it had a similar change, which made the top up ride much quieter and isolated from wind and road noise.

In addition, how happy are you that Porsche decided to stray from using a folding metal roof? Was this a GOOD or BAD call?

Loving the 911 cabrio and yes I am very happy they decided against all the weight of the folding top. Probably would have been very hard to acheive with the rear engine layout anyway.

hot! I like that they figured out another way to improve the cloth top, looks nice and tight and even better if even quieter :)

It may very well be what it appears to be but something doesn't look right to me. If it is what it is I guess I will have to get use to it.

I noticed it had a real glass window at the rear.
