Suzuki Sets Pikes Peak Record By Shattering The Ten Minute Mark

Nobuhiro Tajima significantly lowered his own record in the Unlimited class at Pikes Peak on Sunday, bringing the hill-climb mark from 10:01.41 minutes to 9:51.28. Tajima, 60, is known among competitors and fans as Monster Tajima for his dominance on the Colorado mountain — he now has won his class six consecutive years — but he did not say if he planned to retire from the annual climb.

I love suzuki. I don't know why they dont have a competitor to WRX STI and Lancer EVO. SX4 AWD is nice but some style would be sweet.

I'm praying that Suzuki makes a Kizashi with a big (VW?) engine and AWD. Now THAT would get some publicity, as well as a much-needed halo car.

The article stated it will be completely paved in 2012, all of the previous records have been on a gravel road, so this is apples to oranges, when it is completely paved the car will be different, it used to be more of an off road race, now its more street oriented from the years back, although still a great track, you just can't compare the times from the old times to today.
