Name That Car - Mystery Mercedes-Benz Caught In Orange County
Sometimes the best things simply pass you by. In this case longtime AutoSpies reader Fred Khaz had this pass him on the highway in Orange County. Not one to miss a photo op Fred whipped out his camera and started shooting away.
But what is it? Obviously this is a Mercedes-Benz in testing, but is it a B-Class derivative of some sort or is there too much cammo to tell?
So we ask the best of the best among us. What is it?
Great Job Fred! Thanks for The tip!

Clearly it's the new SLS AMG Black Series. Anyone can see that - even with all that camo on it!

I don't understand MBUSA's strategy with this vehicle. This works in Europe where taxis are MBs/BMWs and Audis but this will NOT work here in the USA. Customers in this country see MB, AUDI, BMW and Lexus as luxury cars only and not econo boxes. This will become another Daimler AG failure just like the Smart Brand.

There are enough people that will be foolish enough to buy this car if MB markets it properly. It would also give MB an excuse to increase the price of the C-Class.

MB has officially debuted the new B-class in the Frankfurt Auto Show. Some officially specifications were also released. Therefore it is no longer a mystery.

Personally, I love the practical designs like small hatchback and micro-vans. I would love to see this have 3 rows of seats like the Mazda 5 and Ford Grand C-max. The only thing would make it "ideal" in my mind would be sliding doors.
