Formula One Is Coming To 00R's Neighborhood, Literally
For all of the wise cracks and smack talking against New Jersey, you have to admit the state's good for several things: The Sorpranos, bagels, and now Formula One.

That's right, Formula One is expected to come to New Jersey after months of speculation.

According to reports from The Wall Street Journal, Bernie Eccelstone's Formula One has scheduled a press conference at Port Imperial in Weehawken for tomorrow. I can't see why else F1 would be having a sit down in Weehawken. Word on the street suggests the race would happen in June 2013, which is after Austin's November 2012 race. The difference between Texas' and New Jersey's race is that the Jersey waterfront spectacular will be set on a road course.

Imagine that, after an absence from 2007, F1 will return with not one but TWO US races.

Good on ya, Bernie!

Now how about some press passes?

Formula One, the richest and most popular form of international motorsport, is coming to Greater New York in 2013.

According to two people familiar with the matter, the London-based racing circuit will announce next week that the Formula One Grand Prix of America will take place in June 2013 on a road course mapped out in Weehawken and West New York along the Hudson River—against the backdrop of the Manhattan skyline.

Sounds interesting and I would love it..most likely the road course would include BLVD East, but I'm willing to bet that nothing is going to happen. You can shut down streets in Europe and other countries...In the US, expect lawsuits from neighbors who can't get to Walmart in their SUVs

Miami would have been a much better location.
