Tired Of The 2012 BMW 3-Series Already? Here's Some Info On The Next, Next-Gen 3'er Due In 2020

Tired Of The 2012 BMW 3-Series Already? Here's Some Info On The Next, Next-Gen 3'er Due In 2020
Though the all-new BMW 3-Series bowed to audiences only this month, according to new sources there's a ton of information about the generation following the 2012. Yup, the seventh-gen 3-Series due for release in 2020.

They've even provided a sketch, which strikes me as odd considering no one knows how the 2012 product will fair out.

The UK's Autocar is reporting that the seventh-gen car will essentially take the role as the more frugal and most user friendly of the lineup. Rightfully so as it is BMW's high volume product.

Although this may sound like a scary change, think of it this way. If BMW can make the 3'er a more environmentally friendly product, it will still have the capability to produce high-performance products that will damage the environment.

Here are some insights that have now seen the light of day:
  • Advanced petrol engines
  • Enclosed engine and aerodynamic improvements
  • Laser sensors to protect against crashes
  • Low-drag brakes
  • 3D satellite navigation
  • Real-time car-to-car alerts

The future seventh-generation BMW 3-series for 2020 will be designed to be safer, more frugal and more user-friendly than ever before. The push to reduce the 2020 car's emissions comes as new fuel economy regulations average out Co2 emissions based on sales across the whole of a manufacturer’s range.

Like the weather, a lot can happen between now and then. No point in wild speculation.

Yes, let's speculate on the 10th Generation 3 series debuting in 2041.

It will come complete with a compact nuclear fusion engine, full teleportation capabilities and of course the carbon fiber time travel capsule.

If this is true, that BMW is already thinking in the 2020, 3 series they must be out of their minds, considering that they are still working on the 2012 model. Then at the end of the day, they ask themselves why they fail. Its normal for a new car development to be worked ahead of its launch, but this time, they are exaggerating!!

Leave it to the media to jinx the JUST released new generation and start gestating the next generation car not due out for almost 8 years.

Is there no opportunity to enjoy what we just received?
