WHICH and WHY? Of The Baby Sport-Utes, WHICH Would YOU Want In Your Driveway And WHY?
In the battle of entry-level premium sport-utilities, there are three products that stand out amongst the pack.

The Audi Q3

The BMW X1, and

The Land Rover Range Rover Evoque

All three have a distinctive take on what an SUV is suppose to be although the Evoque certainly wins some more originality points over the German automakers.

Going by the looks, I would pick Evoque, in black. But, if taking everything into account (speed, efficiency, looks, and price) - Q3 is the winner.

Forget about these nice diesels in USA...

Gimme a 3-series, A4 or TSX wagon any day. No question. I value handling.

Google Translate -- so it looks like the X1 won? Not bad considering the Q3 and Evoque are brand new.

"...Of The Baby Sport-Utes"

Q3 for best overall cohesive design and sheer beauty. This vehicle would not offend parked in any driveway. (so that would be my choice)

The Ford, ahem, Range gets high marks for interior execution! Stellar!

X-1 styling will take some getting used to but hopefully the driving dynamics and utility will save this "ugly duckling."

I would go with the X1 in this "class". The Range Rover certainly looks the best inside and out but it also is priced against the next class up loaded its pricing runs around what a 6 cylinder X5, ML, Q7, RX, and FX costs which I just cant justify paying for this car so that one was out from the start....

Evoque

Best looking, best interior, 30mpg hwy, you can actually take it off road while the other 2 are just hatch backs.

As most of you argue when comparing a 3 series to any alternative, "price is not an issue - this is the best choice".

As Motor Trend published in their last issue "Behold, the future of the SUV". Indeed.

Evoque, based on looks. But I'm pretty sure it competes with the Q5/X3...
