Even the price is the same

does BMW just wait outside the audi factory gates and wait to see what is comming out next?

Whoooaaa hold your horses there Hommer,
first of all, throughout the world (with the exception here in the United States) the BMW’s individual program (or personalization) on a car was first introduced in Launched at the Geneva Auto Show in 1992 (http://www.autoblog.com/2005/11/28/bmw-soon-to-treat-u-s-customers-as-individuals/), while on the other hand, Audi followed the similar program in 1994 with the A8 model as the industry’s first (http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/05_11/b3924003.htm).
I am not taking sides here, but please do research first, that what google is for mate. Having said that, I believe this competition amongst automobile giants only benefited on one thing, the consumers like us. At the end of the day, we’ll just need to look for our favorite brands, and hope that they’ll provide us with the program that suites us the most..

I think that all luxury car companies should have an individualized option...it'll be more expensive but some people are willing to pay it.
