STUD OR DUD? FT-86 Brochure Surfaces Ahead Of Release
These brochure scans of what appear to be a final production model of the Toyota FT-86 / Scion FR-S may finally show what the real car looks like and end the protracted concept car nightmare parade. Maybe. Sort of. Hopefully. Do you like it?

It's worth noting we don't know for sure if this is the real thing, but the FT-86 faithful over at ft86club have been comparing it to the test mules running around Europe and have determined many of the details seem to match, including the placement of the climate control switches.

Do the brochures leak specs?

Of course not.. that would be too much to ask.

But from what it sounds like the FT-86 will be conservative, while the Subi BRX will have the mojo.

I'm not sure why the hood has to be that high w/ a NA H-4 engine. Many interesting design cues, but it looks heavier than it actually is.

Interior reminds me of RX8, but the latter makes much more sense.

The first FT-86 concept looked the best to me so good to see front end is very close to the first concept but would have liked the production model to also have carried the same tail lights from that concept.

From the hood-line, over the front fender to the A-pillars, the design seems to be heavily inspired by the Nissan 350Z/370Z. Toyota needs to price this car, if only in a stripped base model, at or below $22,500. If they don't, Hyundai will undercut them.

Unless things have changed, I remember Toyota moving the price up from $23,000 to $25-$26,000.

Even at $22,000, there is a wealth of competition in that segment that offer more power.
