GM (and Toyota) build cars in China because it's basically a requirement to sell in the Chinese market. That's why I've compared your arguments to those of an 8-year-old, Badgewhore.

There is no net-gain from transplants, only a shuffling of jobs from American plants (such as two Chrysler plants near St. Louis, MO) that have shut down.

Along the way, workers have lost 1/2 their pay. 39-year-old single mom is just too dumb to know this. I see little to get excited about in the story... And be sure to ask all those NUMMI workers in California about their Toyota pensions.

Damn you BuckheadBill... If you'd have left the WWII stuff out of this, 1911 would have been forced to admit the Chinese require joint partnerships to sell in China (in meaningful numbers).
