BREAKING: Hyundai Has Some POWERFUL News To Share With You
Coming to the 2012 Detroit Auto Show will be another addition to the Veloster lineup.

No, it won't have four doors.

Hyundai's head honcho, John Krafcik, announced at a SEMA Auto Show dinner tonight that the Veloster Turbo is a reality and there will be more details coming forth at this January's Detroit Auto Show. Besides that, the only details disclosed were that the vehicle will be powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged powerplant.

Although that seems to be a pretty good indicator of what to expect Hyundai to display, it's not an official announcement, so, hold your horses.

With that said, what will Hyundai's Veloster Turbo need to compete with the likes of the Volkswagen Golf GTI and Honda Civic Si?

This isn't surprising, it's Hyundai's answer to the FT86, it has 11 more hp, and weighs between 68 and 112 lbs less then the Toyota.

The comparably overweight underpowered TC? If it is, it annihilated it. Raw specs put it far closer to the ft even if it lacks the rwd layout, which most Hyundai or Toyota buyers wouldn't even notice.
