If Audi Created An A3 Coupe That Looked Like This, Would You Choose It Over BMW's 1-Series?

Check out the latest imagineered Audi from Theophilus Chin. Earlier this week we featured his take on a B8 RS 4 with the latest facelift changes and now he's put together a production-looking 2-door take on the A3 sedan concept shown last spring in Geneva.

So What Do We Think?
First and foremost, Chin's re-working of the A3 sedan takes it in a more production-looking direction, which helps envision the car. Audi design boss Stefan Sielaff said the production A3 sedan will be just a bit taller than the A3 concept and this appears to have the more aggressive proportions of the show car. Also, it retains the frowning lower intakes with aluminum trim at the front that likely hint at the next-gen RS 3's own appearance... but that's a guess on our part.

I'd take this over the new 1er without thinking twice. I don't care if it is AWD or FWD or if it's powered by a Honda lawnmower engine - I'll gladly take it based on styling alone.

Yes its prettier...but every Audi with a couple exceptions gets panned for being unengaging and numb in handling. What fun is that...like having a great looking mate who is impotent.

Generically bllnd illustration, similar to the generially bland, yet real, Merc C coupe. I expect Audi can do better than that. a la S5. But worlds better than the heinously ugly 1 series heaped on us from Bavaria.

That looks nice, but I'd probably wait to see what the actual 2-series coupe looks like, rather than basing my opinion on an artists grafting of an RS3 front end onto a C-class coupe body and comparing it to a 5-door 1-series hatch. But that's just me.

On looks alone, yes. But, being Golf based, it will always be behind the RWD 1-series for most enthusiasts.
