SPIED: The Next-Gen Audi A3's Interior Gets EXPOSED In These Latest Images
Although it isn't Audi's highest volume seller, the Audi A3 remains an important vehicle in the brand's lineup for a couple of different reasons.

Firstly, it battles against the heating up entry-level premium compact car class. That means it squares up against the BMW 1-Series, Lexus CT200h and whatever else is coming down the pipe -- your move, Infiniti.

Second, the A3 provides proof that diesel powerplants can sell successfully within the US. Did YOU know that A3 sales are largely made up of A3 TDIs? Well, now you do.

Lastly, the A3 is the car that warms up younger buyers to the Audi marque. Someone over at the four rings learned early, you have to hook 'em while they're young.

Aside from that, take a look at these GREAT spy shots that really show the vehicle's interior.

A very minimalist design. If I'm dropping $40,000+ on a TDI A3, I may expect a little more.
