Could F1 Survive Without Ferrari?
Ferrari’s F1 future could be in question unless the sport initiates major changes to its technical regulations, testing format and the whether or not it allows teams to field third cars in the future. That was the somewhat theatrical message delivered by Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo speaking over the weekend at Ferrari’s World finals event at the Mugello circuit near Florence.

NASCAR is still huge with standardized engines.

Regardless, I find televised sports boring so I don't hold much of an opinion.

If the question was asked at the end of 2007 than maybe not. At the end of 2007 there were only top 2 teams Ferrari and Mclaren but now there are Top 4 including Redbull and Mercedes. So if Ferrari decide to stop, there will still be Top 3 and competition still very interesting.

Question is can Ferrari survive without F1. Without F1, Ferrari will just be another sportscar maker.
