Nissan GT-R gets more power
Nissan announced today the 2013MY GT-R, an updated version of its most popular supercar, which will go on sale on November 24 in Japan and arrives in European, U.S. showrooms in January 2012. Asymmetric suspension? Now we are talking!

The new assymetric suspension layout compensates for the weight of the driver by stiffening the front drivers side spring rate and lowering the rear passengers side mounting points.

This makes me laugh a bit, knowing that information if I bought one I wouldn't want to have a passenger in it at all as it would compromise my handling! lol

Love how Nissan keep on updating the GT-R like as if they are in some competition(not only with Porsche but all sports car makers). Developing new parts and improving the performance every year.
Can't wait to see Top Gear testing this new 550BHP GT-R to see how much faster it is compare to the 2012 version. Expecting it to be quicker than both 458 Italia and MP4-12C everywhere.

Now hoping for a styling refresh especially front end in 2014.

I'm getting lost here. Didnt they just revise the GTR recently? Nissan is making updates to the update and not addressing the main problem which is the design of the car.

I like the way the GTR looks, but clearly its not a winning design with the general public. Dominating comparisons just isn't translating to better sales.

Nissan didn't design the Nissan GT-R to win a beauty contest. It purpose was to give the driver most the fun, speed, agility, handle and Unbelievable performance around the track. And it's actually look better in person.

Not the same market at all. Those who buy the 911 love Porsche and want to own a Porsche - if they were shopping performance numbers, they would just get a 911 Turbo that is 99% of the GTR but can be driven EVERY DAY comfortably without issues.

The GTR market is completely different than the 911's market. People waiting for an updated Acura NSX are purchasing the GTR.

Finally, I can post again on autospies with that Stupid Land Rover Pop screen keep Preventing me from reading and posting to post. I thought it was to suppose to 570 hp? Or is the U.S. getting the 570 hp?

No matter it will be surely faster for sure. Man I would love to own one of this Automobile master piece. Good Nissan and Keep up the good work.

Now go and make a Infiniti version of the Nissan GT-R and while you're at it make a BMW M3, Audi RS5, Lexus IS-F and MB AMG 63 competitor as well. Because it will boost your sales for sure and brand image as well.

Love how they keep improving and stepping the car up. It keeps the car competitive instead of having to wait 4 or 5 years for the replacement to come out, only for the competitor to come out with something better the end of the year or the next year.

Nissan Chief Engineer Says 2013MY GT-R has the Potential to Lap the Ring in Under 7:20

“We have a car that has the potential to go from 0-100 km/h (0-62mph) in under 3 seconds, lap the Nurburgring in less than 7 minutes 20 seconds, and cruise at speeds of 300 kilometers per hour,” said Mizuno.

“For 2012 [2013MY for the States], the lap time on the track has improved and the speed through corners is better, yet for the driver it feels more comfortable and easier to control. I think we’re getting close to making the ideal car,” he added.

Jugnu, the GT-R looks too 90's. Needs a whole new exterior. But performance is great.

Hopefully that power increase will come along with revised transmission and launch control, so the extra power doesn't blow the tranny as it happened before!!
