VIDEO: Taking The BMW M3 Out Of The Equation, WHICH High-Performing Coupe Is The BEST? C63? RS5?

Going back several months, the hot topic that just about EVERY publication discussed was pitting the Audi RS5 vs. the BMW M3 vs. the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe.

The problem -- for the other guys -- was that the BMW M3 always seemed to win. Keep in mind, the E9x M3 is on its last legs as the next-generation car is already in development.

With that said, the television program that actually produces good car content -- Fifth Gear -- pitted the all-new RS5 up against the C63 to see who's the best when it comes down to it. No, we're not talking about comfort or any philosophical issues.

We're talking who's faster around the track and that's it.

This track is incredibly twisty and low speed. When Tiff drove the 1M and RS3 on this track both cars achieved faster lap times than the RS5, and C63. I think on a damp track like this is the only place the RS5 would have any kind of advantage, on any other track, or even this track in the dry, im almost positive the C63 would come out on top. Also I have yet to see a video track review of an Audi where the test driver doesn’t curse its understeer before nearly driving off the track.
