Social Media On Wheels - Would You Be Caught DEAD Driving One Of These OR Is This A GENIUS Concept?

Social Media On Wheels - Would You Be Caught DEAD Driving One Of These OR Is This A GENIUS Concept?
I never thought I'd see the day where I'd be asking if users would drive a vintage "Fanwagen" but then again I have written plenty of things I never thought would happen. Here we go...

Oh-kay, so according to reports Volkswagen Netherlands is bringing back the old-school Beetle and Bus to promote social media and get Facebook fans engaged -- I think.

The point of this exercise is to have Facebook fans choose what to spec in the car, vote for their favorite, and then be entered in a chance to win it.

Let's say you theoretically win this contest -- are you really winning anything though? Driving a vintage Beetle or Bus is one thing, but driving a Facebook-themed car?

Would you be caught DEAD behind the wheel of these vehicles that are a living representation of social media on wheels?

**Special thanks to our friend Jimin for the tip

Volkswagen Netherlands is trying to bring back the super sweet vintage bus or beetle, but this time with a modern twist - a whole bunch of absolutely ridiculous social media tools like a license plate relationship status or a dashboard that prints out status updates... because who doesn't need that?

A 23 window Samba or a split window Beetle with rear wheel arch covers.

I would take both, take the transmission out of the bus, put it into the Beetle and put a Porsche flat 6 and tear the road up! (Yes this is an easy swap). For the bus, I
d have to figure something else out.
