Cadillac Recalls 674,000 CTS Models For Faulty Brakes

General Motors Co. is recalling 674 2012 Cadillac CTS vehicles after it discovered some vehicles had improperly assembled components that could cause the loss of braking ability.

GM said some vehicles have a power vacuum brake boost pushrod retention nut that was not properly tightened; the nut could loosen and allow the pushrod to separate from the brake pedal.

On Oct. 28, GM discovered the problem and issued a stop-sale the following day for the 2012 CTS vehicles, which means they couldn't be sold before they were inspected and repaired if necessary.

Yonder7, GM is hoping someday to match Toyota's quality and reliability. But for now, GM's lack of quality is not to be envied.

The headline is wrong. As stated in the article it is 674 cars, built between 10/21-10/26?

Exactly. That 674,000 number was a lame attempt at throwing shade at Cadillac. While other sites offer COMPLETE auto news from EVERYTHING automotive from AROUND THE WORLD (instead of focusing on a few brands of choice), this site posts what they want. That's why I'm only here when I'm bored to the point of shooting myself in the head and I want to be "mildly" entertained with the ignorance of everyone here. There is MUCH more Cadillac news circulating the web right now. I'm surprised that the ATS news even made it to this site. *shrugs* Let the pointless de-boosting begin... Bet you wouldn't do it to my face! *bows and exits the autospies building*
