What Brand/Car Are You SOOooo Over And WHY?
If there's one thing that we know here at AutoSpies, it's that the automotive industry is a very cyclical and seasonal business. To break this down, essentially it's a business that's based on cycles of "What's hot?" and the respective time of year.

But as can be said for all good things, they must come to an end.

I like to think of it like the music I listen to. Typically, I listen to a specific tune NON STOP for about two weeks, then never listen to it again; however, after a handful of months I'll hear it on the radio and have a nice, fond memory.

We like to think cars have the same kind of power, granted since they're durable goods the timing isn't as exaggerated.

With that said, we're a littl eucrious:

WHICH brand/car are you OVER and why?!

WHICH automaker has lost its edge?

Luxury brands have to offer more products for different niches in order to create buzz, attract new customers and ultimately stay competitive. It's the nature of the game.

Where you go others will follow.

Hyundai is on the rise and no one is stepping up to meet them. Just like Toyota did in the 1990's. THAT is why you hear so much about them.

What other good cars do you suggest that we don't already cover?

Agreed. Autospies should cover more Toyotas. That way this site will be the envy of all other automotive sites.

Cars/Brands that are over?

Any current Lexus (including the LF-A). And every car in Toyota's lineup is looking very sucky as well. Acura is on life support, and Infiniti needs and excitement injection. But hey... Japan's engineering is #1.

To be over Toyota/Lexus one has to first be into them, no?

Whoa! I just reread the title. I misunderstood it - thought it was asking what brand I'm currently in love with. Disregard my first response. Which brand do I think is past its prime? I'll go with Acura - their lineup is getting stale, at least until the new NSX hits the dealers.
