Hyundai is very serious about the Genesis V8
Hyundai introduced the RM500 Concept at the SEMA Show, proving that the V8-powered Genesis Coupe is a definite possibility. With the help of motorsports partner Rhys Millen Racing, the vehicle could deliver 450hp after modifying its brand new 5.0-liter Tau V8, which is shared with the Genesis Sedan R-Spec.

I see Genesis Coupes on the road everday. How is it a flop? And what Toyota product can compete with the Genesis coupe? The Matrix? lol!!!

I think a V8 Genesis cpe would definitely up the wow-factor for the brand. The current coupe is pretty slick and I see at least a half-dozen each day. It's a better choice over the Chrysler 200 vert, the Honda Accord cpe, Nissan Altima cpe, and definitely better than the Toyota Camry Solara cpe.

It (V8) would "up the ante" in the mainstream coupe category.

"jtz7 that post here and works for Hyundai confirmed that Hyundai only sole a total of 39 Coupes in the USA from Jan - Jun." - Angry1InchPenis

Total BS. Is this backed with official sales figures? Or do you expect everyone to believe the fabricated Toyota fanboy BS?

Hyundai doesn't break down individual Genesis coupe and sedan sales (So I'm not sure where your fellow Toyota loving Fanboy got his numbers from? sounds like he made it up).

Hyundai sold 2441 Genesis in Feb 2011. I know you don't expect anyone to beleive that 99.99% of those sales are sedans. You Toyota fans love to make up BS and try to pass them off as facts. Pathetic!! and LOL!!! And you still didn't answer the question "How is the Genesis coupe a flop"?

IDK why they combine them. But saying that Hyundai sold 39 Genesis coupes in a six month period is the craziest thing I've heard all month. That's 6.5 coupes a month. Do you believe that Hyundia sells just 6 or 7 Genesis coupes in a month in the U.S.A? Notice how Mr.1Inch didn't even reply. He knows that what he said is a complete pile of rubbish. Toyota fans are the worse.

jtz7 is full of crap just like you are. You should be ashamed for spreading BS like that. Him not retracting it doesn't make it true (Not sure why you think it does?). It just means that he stands by the BS. Where the proof? Link? anything other than jtz7's BS.

What B.S am I spreading? I'm not the one who claimed that Hyundai sold just 6.5 Genesis Coupes a month from Jan-Jun. That bit of BS came from you? And besides, jtz7 isn't even agreeing with you. Give it up.

That still doesn't take away that fact that you repeated the BS as if it were fact. Guess you couldn't resist because it fits your agenda.

So in Summary:

jtz7 posted some BS.

angryinch1 repeated that BS as if it were fact.

angryinch1 is trying to save face now by pointing out jtz7's BS post (without realizing that he repeated that BS as if it were fact).

jtz7 was full of crap.

angryinch1 is full of crap because he regurgitated jtz7's crap.

Next!!!

The real question is; did Hyundai sell only 6 or 7 Genesis coupes per month from Jan-Jun? We all know that to be complete BS. BS that for some strange reason you believed. Naive much? LOL!!!

Build this car Hyundai! I'm not going to buy one, but you may get enough sales that Nissan finally puts a turbo, or two, in a 370Z!

If you do build it, make sure you pay the money to ensure that the car is properly balanced and tuned.

Really? Where's the hyperlink? Still ain't got it. It's the middle of november and I see you still bitching about Hyundai's success. Get over it!!!

You didn't show anything. The burden of proof is on you. I guess you want us to look back through dozens of your posts to find it? You couldn't even do it. If you could, you would have. So now your basing everything on "jtz7's claims"? Where are these claims? In your imagination?

"jtz7, Are you still standing behind your claim that the Genesis Sedan alone without the coupe sales outsells the Acura TL?"

Obviously not. Next time don't be so quick to repeat B.S just because it fits your agenda.

I can't see the genesis coupe being a flop. The big 3 from japan have nothing to compete with it with the exception of the 370Z which costs considerably more. I drove one and was very impressed with the handling and feel. I never expected a Hyundai to drive this good. I blame the sales faliure on uneducated Americans. Almost no-one I have spoken to knows this is a rear wheel drive coupe. To me it is a poor mans 350Z and drives similar to one. That car isn't on my shopping list but If I were younger and didn't have the income to get a German coupe the Genesis would be my number one choice with a pre-owned 350z as a second.
