The dirt on the refreshed Shelby GT500
Well, it seems the rumors were true: Ford has endowed the GT500 with a 5.8-liter, 650-hp, 600-lb-ft supercharged V8. So equipped, it will pass 200 mph (and carve out a larger gap between it and the Boss 302). Insane. This makes the uber-Mustang one of the last 200mph stickshift holdouts, and one I would gladly put in my driveway. Also, the rest of the Mustang lineup gets minor improvements. Meanwhile, a Camaro ZL1 should weigh nearly 300 pounds more.

This car is so badass and something American's can be proud of; put this thing on the 'Ring against anything Audi, AMG or BMW has to offer. Love it.

Power is useless unless you can utilize it effectively. With a live axle rear suspension, Ford will definitely need to use slicks, and even with those, this car is not going to beat a ZR-1 around the "Ring".

@MorePower - actually, a Mustang GT is faster around a track than a technology-festival Lancer
Evo.
