LOS ANGELES AUTO SHOW: Exterior Styling Face-Off - WHICH Toyota Product Is The Apple Of YOUR Eye?

LOS ANGELES AUTO SHOW: Exterior Styling Face-Off - WHICH Toyota Product Is The Apple Of YOUR Eye?
I remember sitting in this year's New York Auto Show press room, cranking out stories as fast as I could while 001 was doing what he does best -- shoot the best damn photos.

It was late in the day and Scion had scheduled the press announcement for its unveiling towards the end of the day, if my memory serves me correctly. Long story short, 001 went up there to shoot the new concept while I was downstairs.

Then I received an email that sounded like 001 had seen the second coming of Christ.

He thought this new Scion was unbelievable and he couldn't wait to show me the photos, meanwhile I was thinking "How good can it be?" Then, I saw the photos.

It was unreal looking. Truly head and shoulders above everyone elses concept.

Later on in the evening, 001 turned to me an asked: "So, what's better looking from a styling perspective? The LFA or the FR-S?"

Now I turn and ask the same to you.

**Yes, we know. One is real, one's a concept. Yes, one is $400k and other would be a $20 - 30k offering. We don't care, we want to talk STYLE

LFA feels calm and cool, more like something out of rational German. Guess there's a reason they are one the same side in WWII.... And for that reason it doesn't go w/ RED. IMO it's best in Metallic White.

On the contrary FT86 works well w/ RED, because there's more conventional play of curve and accent, however I won't drive a red car with less than 400 hp.

I'm sorry but I disagree with both of you guys. That Lexus and Scion are one hell of a design one hell of design indeed. I don't get you guys, you b**th when Toyota is boring then when they make something groundbreaking that turns heads it's too much going on. When it comes to Toyota designs you guys don't know what you want. And I also really like the GS's new design. It grew on me. Oh yeah and I hate Toyota but Im not biased like Huu76 is.

I didn't comment on design, only on color choices. Both designs, especially the front/rear of LFA, are pretty good in fact.
