SPIED: A Look Into BMW's Future - M3, M6, 7-Series, 4-Series, 3GT, 3-Series LWB, Gran Coupe
You know, I didn't realize how many new products BMW was putting together until...now.

That's because our friends at Auto Motor Und Sport put together a fantastic collection of great spy images featuring a ton of the new projects BMW is currently developing and testing in the motherland. When you peruse the images, seeing the scope of the new product line up is pretty stunning.

There's vehicles that are completely new to the BMW herd, like the Mercedes-Benz B-Class competitor. There are vehicles that are entirely predictable, like the all-new M6 coupe and cabriolet. And then there are some wildcards, like the 3-Series long wheelbase that is more than likely destined for the Chinese market.

I wonder how a LWB 3'er would do in the States? Americans love their room...

BMW's new design language is not compelling, just handsome and polite.

yeah...the 6-series gran coupe, M6, updated 7, 3GT, M3, etc are really just a 328i.

who do you think is doing a better job of developing models that a) are more interesting b) address more niche buyers and c) prevent you from having the EXACT same RX in silver with option package 3 as your neighbor.

hilarious comment as the 3 series doesnt share its platform with the 5, 6, or 7.....but hey ignorrance is bliss what do you care that your wrong or not. Its kinda funny though that you mention that since A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, and Q5 are all based on the same vehicle and the TT, and A3 are based on VWs economy car the golf which shares its platform with to many vehicles to list...

I just think they need new models. I used to admire BMW, but their lack of creation, lack of "vision" to create a car for people to want, rather than just seeing what people want and then creating a car has caused them to have this image of a boring company. The M3, 4-series, 3GT, and 3 LWB are all 3 series. 7 series has long since been in their stable. Only the 6 Gran Coupe is something somewhat new, but thats still based on 6 series. Its just not that exciting...

Of course, thats just my opinion, though some BMW Fans will take that as a personal attack on them. Just want to qualify that by saying I was a former BMW owner (2004 330i w/ ZHP) and I have every right to say what I say. I got into an Audi and Porsche afterwards, because Audi provided more interesting line up and Porsche, well, for obvious reasons...

"because Audi provided more interesting lineup"

You’re kidding right? Audi has the most generic lineup!

Well, I saw a much more promising product line up, not product design. They also are involved in much more motorsport ventures and in my opinion, were making revolutionary moves/products rather than evolutionary moves/products. I have nothing against BMW vehicles themselves, I just think their management is misguided.

I’m really liking the grand coupe, I think it’s going to be a beautiful car.
