22-Year Old Man Pays SIGNIFICANT Premium For New Lamborghini LP700-4
If you're not aware of the high-end luxury car market, things can get pretty hairy when you have a lot of demand and NOT a lot of supply. For automakers like Ferrari, Lamborghini and the ilk, they pick and choose who gets a fresh, new product.

You have to remember, it's a business and these manufacturers have to stick to its loyal customers.

That's why there are multi-year waiting lists for new cars from these limited auto builders.

So, if you're in the market you have two choices:

1) Wait

2) Pay a premium and source the vehicle elsewhere

That's what 22 year-old Dhiaa al-Essa did and he sure as hell paid a premium for his all-new Lamborghini LP700-4 "Aventador."

Wealthy Dhiaa al-Essa didn’t want to put a deposit down at his local dealership and join an 18-month waiting list for the 217mph supercar.

So he contacted Shaun Williams who, 4,100 miles away in Weston-super-Mare, goes around quietly sourcing supercars for the richest people on the planet.

And the engineering graduate paid a hefty price for the privilege – forking out £290,000 for a £245,000 supercar.

But a 45k premium is loose change to someone like Dhiaa, whose grandfather is estimated by Forbes to have a fortune of more than £1.5 billion...

The Q'uran says ONLY Spend your money for good to help your parents, your family, orphans, wayfarers, and the needy. Don't selfishly squander your wealth.

This man is everything that is wrong with Moslems in the Gulf and why people there will rebel, we've become a farce may the prophet forgive us and have mercy on the idiocy of this man

You must be confusing this spoiled Saudi brat for an enthusiast.

I know several people who have made millions working hard and it's a privilege that they worked hard to get when they get an exotic. They baby these cars and take care of every last detail to make sure it runs and performs up to par consistently, We have a man locally with a Veyron, he drives it like a pro and it took him years to do it to extract the potential of this car.

This kid ( if you research a bit ) is just a brat like other Saudi brats who's father inherited an oil well, they can't drive and these cars always end up being trashed.

This paying of 'Premium' is very common here in Middle East especially on new Supercars. Most private showrooms here book new Supercars and have them on their showrooms before the official dealer.
I have seen then new R8 selling for $250K, RR Ghost for $400K+, RR Phantom coupe for $550K+. And most here don't want them(most sell theirs within a month to the same dealer they purchased from at a considerable loss) they just want to be seen as the first to own one.

It is news because we need to remember his face. As an "engineer", he will be sought after by Al Quaeda. Never hurts to protect yourself!
On the real side, it is news because it helps us understand different markets and their philosiphies.

Such horrible envy.

How a human could wish his fellow man death because he is lucky enough to afford a vehicle that you could not.

I feel sorry for you blazinboy.

For the rest of you haters, nothing you say or think will change the fact that this young man in his 22 years on this planet has achieved and experienced more than you will in your entire lifetime.

I for one wish him the very best of luck with his latest acquisition, hopefully one day i will be racing him in a Bullrun / Gumball style rally.
